I am in Prato, Italy working on my new Marc Ecko Fall 2009 Collection

This is why I love what I do.  Everytime I get to be close to where the sewing is taking place I get a charge.  This is video footage of one of my tailors, Francesco.

I am in Prato, Italy this week working on my Fall 2009 collection.  Francesco is the real deal Holyfield.  He has been sewing for over 45 years. The are images of some suits I am making for myself and fit samples for new styles.  Since I have such ease of access to sampling, I will often throw in the development of some stuff for me-- to wear out, immediately, IN SEASON and see if people comment and like or ignore. If they like it and I do not advertise that it is custom, I will often make it the next season in my collection.  It is a strong way to get a temperature check.  Prato is known for all it's sewing and fashion manufacturing.  There is also a ton of great leather shoe, accesories and outerwear makers here.  We are really close to Florence. The food and wine is amazing.
