Got me doing pull ups like Kurtis Blow!  Bobby Byrd "I Know You Got Soul" (1971), sampled in hip hop by Eric B. & Rakim, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, A Tribe Called Quest, kool g rap and more. He was the original leader and founder of The Famous Flames, the vocal group with which James Brown first became famous. Byrd is credited to have discovered James Brown.
