PULP by Neil Krug/ Joni Harbeck
Damn the 70's were sticky. This is a photo homage to PULP. Check the site for details on the book. PULP: A COLLABORATION BETWEEN SUPERMODEL JONI HARBECK & PHOTOGRAPHER NEIL KRUG. You can buy prints on the site as well, which are pretty epic.
As a kid, my dad would turn the laundry room into a photo lab. I would be amazed at the chemistry part of the process. This right brain/ left brain thing. My father gave me his set up vintage Kodak Encyclopedia's. It's something like 20 different books in the series. I keep them in my office. I love the smell of old books. I love the age on the paper. They are a throwback to the 70's, and are chock full of images that look like Neil's. The photo flares. This exact sort of color pallete. Very cinematic. The emo girls. The one difference is that the models were more random, hairier and with 70's style natural breasts. You can cop these books on e-bay. A real treasure.

Old books reminds us of great memories. Though they wear off and get old, they hold knowledge that is applicable at present and future.
My grandmother is a collector of books and when I read your post I can't help but remember her.
