This will put your problems in perspective.

Warning: This is a "Kum-ba-yah" post. "Oh, the humanity of it all!" When I was a kid growing up in Lakewood, NJ-- my dad would every once in a while break out a cheapo telescope. He'd set up a folding chair on the front yard late at night, and would fill-up a thermos with hot chocolate. We'd go outside and he'd have me peer into the viewfinder--- up at the stars. All I wanted to do was get more of the hot chocolate-- well past my bed time. My dad is/was an avid reader of Issac Asimov, and a real nerd for astronomy and space. I never got "why" back then? Back then was "why".

This is a cool story. All be it geeked out. There is nothing more humbling than looking up there at night and thinking about just how small and irrellevant our headaches (however real or manufactured) can be.

"The first pictures of planets outside our Solar System have been taken, two groups report in the journal Science.

Visible and infrared images have been snapped of a planet orbiting a star 25 light-years away."

Jets in First Place!!!!!!

It wasn't pretty, but it was a win! NY/NJ Fanboys unite!

from the NYTimes: Favre led the Jets toward victory, into field-goal range, and when Jay Feely made a 34-yard field goal to give the Jets a 34-31 victory over the Patriots, Favre raised his arms in triumph.

“Good old Brett saved me,” said Ty Law, the cornerback re-signed by the Jets this week. “He saved the game.”

The "Airzooka"-- I just ordered 2.

I first played with one of these things out at Humanhead studios.  They are great.  So stupid and meaningless-- yet fun.  I got 2 of them.  One for me.  And one for my son.  Perfect.  More proof that I have the maturity level of a 14 year old.

Bailout? Bailout these nuts.

I do not understand all this talk of bailing out the auto industry.  Enough already. Full stop. Period.  These characters and Pelosi are acting like a bunch of tools-- changing the rules on the fly and using the threat of the sky falling if they do not fix this mess.  I do not care what your political affiliation is or isn't-- the rest of "the real world" doesn't operate this way.

The images attached are ones I grabbed in 30 seconds off of edmunds.com.  These are some of the cars that GM makes.  Beleive it or not, these images are for 2008 and or 2009 models.  No these are not used car listings, or from 1998.  They just look that way.  That may be why GM is shitting the bed.
